On November 7th, 2012, the Strategic Capability Network (SCN) featured an event with Sharone Bar-David. SCN helps senior leaders across organizations achieve competitive strength through people, by providing a forum for leading-edge thinking and practice on integrated human resource management.
The event featured a three-person panel, providing participants with insights into a recent survey on abrasive leadership that Sharone Bar-David had developed for the Canadian HR Reporter magazine. Joining Sharone to offer additional information and practical wisdom were Venita Indewey, a senior HR leader, and Nancy Shapiro, a lawyer specializing in employment law. They covered the root cause of abrasive leadership, what has (and has not) been tried to address the problem of harsh leadership, and what participants need to do to turn things around.
