Hurray! 101 Blog Entries!

As this blog matures into the ripe age of 100+ entries (it was born on January 2nd, 2007), I’d like to share some of the ways that its readers have been using it. Here’s some of what you had relayed with me over the past three years:

  1. Use the `Respect’ blogs as teaching points and conversation starters in your Health and Safety meetings
  2. Use the videos on `personal branding’  and `self sabotage’ in a management retreat to discuss organizational concerns and devise solutions
  3. Integrate the ideas from the `Change’ related entries into the planning of change initiatives
  4. Quote relevant entries in your organizational newsletter
  5. E-mail the blog entries to your team members as bite-size learning nuggets
  6. Experiment with applying specific, skills based entries (on delegation, for example) to your own reality.
  7. Forward a relevant idea to someone whom you think will benefit from the specific info contained in that entry

And here are some additional ideas of my own for ways to use the blog:

  1. Turn on your favourite dance music. Read any blog entry and then perform an interpretive dance in front of a mirror.
  2. Send the blog to your relatives overseas who don’t speak English. Tell them that Canada’s New Immigrant application includes a test section about this blog. Then quiz them on it.
  3. To unleash your creative potential, read only every third word.
  4. Print the last ten blogs and post them as inspirational readings all over your living room walls.
  5. Continue doing your real work and quit reading this nonsense!
